Loving Corvallis

“Loving Corvallis” is an initiative of COV ~ Corvallis that encourages individual believers and congregations to engage in a sustainable lifestyle of Praying and Caring for unsaved family members, friends and acquaintances, and asking the Holy Spirit to open doors for sharing the gospel. Corvallis is one of nine pilot cities in the US implementing the “Loving Our Community to Christ” strategy under the guidance of the Mission America Coalition. International Furniture Giveaway

Students at the International Furniture GiveawayThe “International Furniture Giveaway” is an annual initiative of Loving Corvallis. It is an opportunity to demonstrate Christ’s love and care to Oregon State University international students needing help setting up their households. As you can see in these photos a variety of items are contributed by local believers and made available on a Monday in late September at First Baptist Church of Corvallis. There are many opportunities to build on-going relationships and open doors for the gospel.

To engage the whole church to disciple the whole city with the whole gospel of Jesus Christ (Mt. 28:19), proclaiming the good news in word and demonstrating Christ’s compassion through good deeds (1 Pe. 2:12).
